Why can't I charge my computer or other devices vis this usb-c docking station?
When the computer docking station is in use, it is normal to cause the rapid power consumption of the laptops, because the computer needs to provide a certain power to the usb-c docking station to work.
Please make sure that the USB C PD port of this laptop docking station dual monitor is connected to the power supply, it is recommended to use the original charging cable of the notebook(above 65W). And the Type C PD port is ONLY used for power supply.
Just make sure the PD port is connected to a power source that can provide enough power for your notebook, and you can use the webcam and other peripherals linked to the laptop dock normally.
Why does the Docking Station stop working when the MacbBook Pro hibernates?
It may be because the computer is set to an energy-saving mode, just adjust the settings as:
- Settings-Energy Saver-disable the "hard disk to sleep when possible" -save
When your laptop is turned off and then turned on again, you need to RE-PLUG the docking station or HDMI cable, and then the external monitors will be automatically recognized. Since HDMI recognition is detected by unplugging, when the HDMI cable is plugged in, the computer will automatically recognize the external monitor. If this is omitted, the computer will not know that there are HDMI devices are connected.
Do I need to install drivers or upgrade before use KIXUNY laptop docking stations?
No, Plug and Play, not need futher steps.
Note:
- Macbook pro 2017 has a particularly severe problem with wifi interference, which is caused by the wifi antenna being too close to the port. You can check this on Intel's official website, Intel has explained: USB3.0 and bluetooth devices, interference between wifi. This is not caused by the docking station dual monitor.
- Not for Nintendo Switch
- When the IPAD is connected, the audio will be output through the earphone by default. This is the case for all usb c docking stations existed in the market.
